so ... a friend of mine asked me how my day was ... i'd like to share it with you all ...

so ... today, i got up and went to the gym at like 0700 this morning for about an hour ... i thought that by going so early (i usually go later) i would be able to avoid the meat market that gyms oftentimes are ... how sorely wrong i was! i even went in really big sweats as not too show off anything to revealing ... did that work? HELL NO! i heard it all ... from "hey are you stationed here?" (i went to the gym on base) to "i'd lick the sweat off you." **EWWWEEEE** then i went back home and shit and picked up my blind roommate and took him to his parents' house after which i went to my own parents' house to steal groceries from them (i KNOW i can't be the only one!)... but, when i got back out to my car (after taking everything i could), the stupid piece of shit wouldn't start.

i was hoping that it was just a battery problem so i tried to jump it ... but can life ever be that simple for me? fuck no ... so i had to wait on my father, who is the guru of automobiles--any make, any model, any year--he is the certified expert ... upon his arrival, he proceeds to tell me that it's the starter that's fucked up ... so, i wait on my moms to get home and she and i go to the auto zone and buy a new starter ... and here's the good part ... i decided that if i could work on multi-million dollar missile defense equipment for the navy then i could replace a simple starter ... right? well ... three hours later, i finally got the old one off, the new one on and everything put back in place. grant it, i was covered in grease from head to toe, my fresh white-t was no longer white, i had mad dirt under my fingernails, my hair was a mess and there were tools strewn about everywhere ... but none of that matters ... what matters is ... I DID IT ... all by myself ... i am so proud of me ... i was on a roll so i decided to go ahead and drain my oil, change my oil filter, rotate my tires, and top off all the fluids in my car ... YEA!!! i accomplished a whole lot today. i was planning on going to the shooting range to fire off a little frustration but i've found that working on my car released a lot of steam for me ... it was great ... now i'm sitting up in my parents house waiting on mommy dearest to cook my favortie meal ... all in all, a good day ...
